2018-2019 Club and Organization List
Art Club: This club enlightens students about art and sponsors trips to museums in nearby metro areas; oversees the artistic design of Albertus Magnus' yearly student-run shows and festivals.
Book Club: The Book Club members are avid readers and gather regularly to read and discuss books of different genres.
Breakwater Literary Magazine: Breakwater publishes fiction, poetry, and artwork created by students and faculty members to showcase the tremendous talent at Albertus in its annual publication.
Business Club: This club is to help students organize business functions in order to learn more about businesses and appropriate business practices.
Commuter Council: This group supports the commuter population through creating events and social outreach programs, improving commuter-resident relations, and aid in commuter welfare. Seeks to create a better experience for commuter students at Albertus Magnus College.
Honors Club: The Honors Club provides the opportunity for students in the Honors program to organize and participate in various cultural activities and events, as well as volunteer with local community service projects. For more information, contact Dr. Christine Atkins at: catkins@albertus.edu
Multicultural Club: The purposes of this organization shall be: To organize educational and cultural activities that will promote the studies of all languages and literatures from our diverse campus. To foster unity between diverse cultures through various cultural speakers. To serve the multicultural club members and its participants by offering activities appropriate to our academic environment.
People Helping People: The People Helping People organization strives to foster inclusive professional and personal development opportunities, which enhance and aid the overall fabric of civic engagement and the academic & social elements of young men within a campus and community environment. PRIDE: The purpose of this organization is to provide a safe, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ students and their allies. The organization, in addition to providing a safe (brave) space, will encourage students to get involved through a variety of social activities, advocacy campaigns, and campus-wide events. Moreover, the organization promotes dialogue between students of all backgrounds around issues facing the LGBTQ+ community. The organization strives to be a visible presence on campus and to education the campus community on these topics.
Science Club: This club works to promote an interest in science and raises awareness through recycling programs, blood drives, and by hosting movie nights and field trips.
Student Alumni Association: SAA serves as a bridge to all Albertus Magnus students- past, present, and future- connecting them via Albertus traditions. Sponsors several events including the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, Frankie's Hatch Bash, and initiatives such as Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day, and Project Gratitude. Student Government Association & Class Senators: The Student Government Association represents the voice of the student body at Albertus Magnus College. We, the full-time undergraduate students of Albertus Magnus College to provide for the general welfare of the student body social, physical, intellectual, career, emotional, and spiritual interests of individual students, the student body collectively, and the Albertus community. Student Justice League: This group's purpose and intent is to serve as an entity and resource to bring social justice awareness and action to Albertus Magnus College.
